I have a ET250. The track is OK. But I am getting a 1988 Exciter for parts and has a great looking rear suspension. Wondered if I could swap out rear suspensions making it a longer track with more travel. From what i gather the drive pitch is different and have to go to a bravo front drive? Just wondered if anybody has done this swap or what your thoughts are. Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I appreciate the info . . . I guess I'll know more this weekend when I get the Exciter. I'll start posting pics.

Maim, I read through those threads 3 times. I can't see where it said what axle he used on his sled. I know the drivers used were 2.52 pitch. I take i the square shaft 2.52 pitch driver sprockets are obsolete. So would a Hex shaft off a ET340 with a 2.52 pitch sprocket fit my ET250? Thanks for the help....

according to the catoulouge, apparently 1982-94 bravo's had the square shaft 2.52 pitch that you are looking for. there where 2 sprockets avail, alternate one is 8F3-47531-00-00 (looks 7 tooth in pic) yamaha part. stock one is 8R4-47531-00-00 witch shows a 9 tooth in pic. 7 tooth ones are priced cheaper on yamaha usa site. yamaha canada is a bugger in that you cannot look up the old stuff anymore but the us part # are the same as i have had to order a crank bearing for the 78 et340 that way.
apparently you can only get them from yamaha according to the thinking of 121" enticer thread.

Every search i've done comes up saying those square shaft spockets aren't available or are discontinued. So my question is would that hex shaft off a ET340 fit? I have access to one of those. Thanks for the help.

When I did my 250 Enticer mod, I went from a 250 to a 300 to a 340, then a 600. For my drive, I used a square shaft and pressed on drives from a viper. They fit on, and never had any issues with them. Worth a try....

Could you elaborate more on your mods? What reason why you went from a 340 to a 600? What year 600 Viper were those drives off of?
Hate to be 20 questions but just trying to get this right if I could. Thanks!!!

Viper's were a 700cc engine, not a 600. Drives were from a 03. Mine had a 92 Vmax motor in it. There are pictures here- do a search on "my modified mountain sled".
