I recently purchased a 2003 Mountain Viper 700. The skis seem...narrow for a mountain sled. I'm newer to mountain riding, but of the groups I've ridden with recently most all of the other sleds have significantly wider skis.
Is there a better Yamaha ski that will fit this sled? Or should I go aftermarket? Will skis off an Apex or Nytro mtx fit?

apex mtx, phazer mtx and nitro mtx skis will work on your sled with all the tubes, spacers and bolts from an apex mtx. you can even reuse your stock ski loops. I have a spare set here for my apex xtx but my dads 05 sx venture runs them just fine.

Ok thanks! I can buy a set of nytro skis for $75 is that a good price? He doesn't have the mounting hardware. Is that easy enough to obtain? Or can I use the hardware off my old skis?
that is a good price for nitro mtx skis. the hardware is still availible as i just got it for my spare skis.
