OK, cleaned carbs, checked choke cables all good. Performed a compression test Pto fine, mag side was fine but started losing pressure down to 90 PSi. Time for a top end I would presume. My Dad is only going to ride tomorrow for a short burst. Will it be OK, started fine and runs like a scalded dog. Idle is hanging a touch. Checked reeds all OK , however the clamp on the mag side would not tighten, just spun. Thought that might be the cause of my leak. It was not, but replaced and made sure it was tight. Performed another comp test and still creeping down. Could it be something I am overlooking, or is it time to rebuild?

The clamp holding the carb in the boot I presume you mean?

I would put in clean plugs (or plug on that side at least) and watch the plug to confirm you aren't running lean just to make sure you won't burn her down.
for a little riding its probably ok as long as it seems to run fine and plugs look ok.
