Hey guys I was out with my700 improver today and was only getting 8000 rpm and I cleaned and adgusted power valves so they are good motor is race ported ported case cut heads 15:1 on C14 40:1 mix with bender 9800-10 200 pipes there bender mods and was only pulling 8000 rpms today

Sorry clutching was a advant edge helix not sure angle but close to 51/43 as it reacts the same as my 51/43 red spring at 60 deg primary is green green green 2 shims with 8bu-10s that weight 44.9 grams something is goin wrong just can't figure it out

What CDI box are you using? (The redhead SX CDI wont open the powervalves.) Have you dyno tuned/jetted it? How was the piston wash today? I ran 45/39, 46/36 with green spring on grass with my improver back in 2000.

Ya it jetted got a 50 pilot 157.5 mains 2 turns out on a/f plugs looked good but I'm 1800 rpms short I need to be around 9800 rpms and it's a bender high rpm cdi box

Are you running the weights empty then, no rivets? Base 8BU-10 weight is 45.4grams. I used primary springs with a 300-320lb finish. GGG is rated at 288lbs. Could try the p/g/p yam pri spring, it is approx. 305lbs.

i don,t like your primary spring first. second i don,t like your secondary spring, and i don,t like your twist. 8bu-10 are 45.50 grams emptie so i assume you light,en these up. used the h/c white spring 170-300. use the green yamaha spring at 2-6 twist for starters. be around a 50-40 50-38 helix. what gearing ? 3:16x (yammie tony)

Gearing is 23/42 and yes the 8bu-10s are lightened abit and we are running 1320ft distance machine needs to be close to 10 000 rpms

helix way too big for that rpm with that much primary weight and that primary spring. youll need a lot less finish angle

Have u ever seen the stator being an issue cause I've tried a lot of helixs even a 36 finish Dalton and still no luck

what does the tach reading look like from start to finish? does it ever go above 8000rpm or ?????

I need to be be close to 10 000 rpms and 1320ft on ice looking to be in 130s for mph running a friends setup that he has a record with in his 600 so I must be close just must have another issue

Did you try any of the suggestions such as a heavier primary spring or lighter weights? They are fast and easy ways of trouble shooting and eliminating things. There is a good possibility that your buds 600 clutch setup wont work with your particular 700 improver motor.

HIS 600 WAS An improver made lots of power and I will order a different primary print and the weights are fairly light at 44.9 grams
