I was moving things around today and this fell off, anybody have any idea what it is or where it goes?

That a suspension bump stop. It will wedge into the a-shaped lower section of the front w-arm in the skid. Look at your rails and you will see a flat bracket attached to the forward part on top of the rails with 2 bolts holding it to the rails. That bump stop goes directly above these flat brackets.
There is an up and down orientation as well as a forward and back. Seem lime the square end rests against the flat in the arm creating the A and the more so wedge side goes up. In your first pic, left side would be up. Thats the down facing side in pic 2.
Is a friction type fit, lube it up(dish soap) and squeeze it back in. Sometimes a bit of a pry is needed.
