What Is The Best Set Up For Heel Clickers On A Stock Viper With A Red Spring. I Need To Get My Rpms Up A Little Higher. They Are Only Reaching About 8200.and I Think I Should Be At 8400 To 8500.i Also Have 192 Studs.

When i had my single pipe on i was running a 50/42 helix with the grey primary spring that worked very good all around. But i can't rememember what the rest of the set-up was.

I got that set-up from Bushman maybe he can help you out.

viper

try 4.0 grams in the heel, 3.3 in the middle and 4.3 in the tip with a 48/34 helix with red secondary spring at 80-90 degrees, works very well. The green yamaha secondary spring will also work and you wont have to use as much pretension, but the red was faster on top end then the green was.

h/c rollers and rpm

ya, dmaxx is correct. I would swap back to the 14.5 mm rollers , the sled will put down alot more power down low and mid range. Plus your engagment speed will not be overly high, you only want a 39-4200 on the snow, much more and you cant put the power to the snow, unless you have a big paddle track. the set up I gave you is 41-4200 engagement and 8500rpm on top

i have the same clutch in my viper now and am beating F7s and sabercats i have mine set pretty much to perfection. (to my knowledge) i have as follows a 52/36 helix red spring 4.8g on shoulder, 3.4g center, and 3.4 tip. engagement is around 44-4500rpm . also set up the weight transfer rods along with front limiter straps. havent had a stock machine of any kind pull away from me from the start. other than that i have a ripsaw 1.25" track. definetly a good investment from the 1" "finger track" stock on a 02' or 03' viper. she runs at 8500 with this setup which is right where she needs to be. i have adjusted this clutching for weeks and this is the best setup i found.

Nice job!!

redsnake, outstanding job!!, finally a guy who did the whole 9 yards and dialed not only the clutching in but the suspension and traction to apply the clutching to the ground, keep notes and your on your way to whippin alot of ditch pickles.....lol ;)! :yam:
