Hey gang, It has been suggested to me to modify the primary clutch for two purposes: 1) to allow primary to close further which will push the belt into a higher ratio, and 2) with the use if an external adjuster be able to tune the belt clearance and engagement rpm and aggressiveness. The mod is to machine the split collars and the fixed sheave. I don't know how much to machine off and is this all that needs to be done? This is for a dedicated asphalt sled, 2000 SRX700. Any help is appreciated. Thank ,
