I recently aquired a 98 srx with a fast m-10 the guy i bought it off was about 280 lbs and im about 215 lbs. I cant seem to get it to hook up. I pin it and 300 ft later the tracks still spinning.. ive backed the FRA off a bit was at about 4 i backed it down to 2 1/2 ( which according to the chart i found should be closer). Didnt help. The limiter strap is in the last hole, front shock looks like its cranked.. about 1 inch of thread showing and rear shock maybe 1/8 of an inch. Any one have an idea i could try? Thanks in advance.

so, you may have a few things going on there. tell me what the sled has on it for, skis, front shocks, and front arms. also, when you sit on the sled, does the front end lift up? When you are on the sled, is there any gap at the lower end of the slide block?
Have you adjusted the track? These suspensions have messed up track tension and when the sled is hanging, correct tension is really loose compared to a stock track.
A picture from the side with you on and off the sled would really give me an idea of the issues.

Should the front lift up when you sit on it?
Should the slide block bottom when sitting on it?
The track tension suggested by m10 is very tight, I set mine up following a hyfax saver write up I found on this site.
I've got c&a pro xt skis, all stock suspension up front, 1.25" hacksaw with 96 studs out back. Haven't really played with the m10 much but I like it so far. I haven't really pinned it too much either but I don't think it will pull the skis off the trail do to all the cushion and travel that the m10 offers.
Respond on guys I'm very interested in this thread!

So, when sitting on sled, there should be equal spacing top and bottom, similar to a pro action though the gaps are reversed. If there is no gap on the bottom, the spring is too tight or the fra is set wrong. similar to a pro action. All of this, is predicated on the installation of the skid being correct. if the rear arm is back too far from the front, then it can be near imposible to adjust it correctly. Is the rear arm bolted in the stock hole for the rear skid that came in the sled? if it is, this is an issue that needs to be fixed.
up front, your sled is kindof low for a M10 to be, all it can be. You have lowered it by installing C A skis from stock, but I don't blame you. You can do a bracket flip and get back an inch. do a search.
So when an m10 is set up correctly, it will not let the sled do wheelies but will hook up decent. If you set on the sled and the front end lifts at all, you have too much center spring pressure. on a normal skid this just makes the front end light but because the skid is coupled very tight, it means the front of the rails are carying the weight of the sled. If you do not have even weight on the rails, the result is less weight on one end or the other, causing traction problems.

the sled has stock skis and suspension with stock ohlins shocks. i think the brackets were flipped.. but im not positive.. if you look at them the shock mounts in the lower half of the bracket...
i did adjust the track because i had loosened it off to change the driveshaft bearing, tightened it to where it was as far as i knew.
i didnt find it easy to measure alone, so im estimating... the front end lifts maybe half inch i wouldnt say the shocks extend anymore though, and theres roughly 1/8 inch gap at the lower end of the slide block
im also running the stock track, not sure on the stud count but 4 per bar..

mount location looks correct on rear arm. The shock mounts do not look stock but do look to be made to lower shock mount hole. so your front end is stock is back to stock height.
I would start by removing some center shock pressure till you can sit on the sled and not see the front end lift up. I would guess, without riding it, you have too much front track pressure.

Took a quick look at my sled tonight. Shock brackets look the same...wonder if the guy who installed the m10 on mine did the swap n flip already? Not sure. Gonna take a better look and I'll post some pics
