Kill switch relocate

Likely because it is easy to trigger when climbing off-trail. It can have severe consequences if it occurs at the right time. Some simply convert to a tether so it cannot be accidentally triggered. This way it automatically triggers if you come off (happens more than I care to admit) ;)!

It is just a Normally Open Switch that closes when triggered.

I honestly don't know for Ontario, but I would think the law would simply require one, not dictate that it has to be stock.

I don't care about the law....I will keep it there so it looks stock but I'd really just like to disconnect it and use the tether. Maybe just loop back into itself?

With Normally Open just leave it disconnected. I do advise a tether though so you don't run with no way to kill it in an emergency. Lot of bad things can happen really quick.
