I installed boysen power reeds in my 01 srx 700. I'm only getting 8150rpms on hardpack/ice wide open. Could the reeds be causing this? Sled runs awesome but doesn't have the pop that it did.
I would lighten the tip weight.

Don't the power reeds have a bottom and a top? Have you got them in correctly?

It's wrapped at 70 I believe. And the reeds are installed correctly. I had read before I purchased this brand that some had issues with pulling rpms...idk.

If you have to remove tip weight with the new reeds, that's telling me your making less power.

When I added Carbon Techs to my sons sled, I had to go up one rivet weight (I don't remember) to get peak back down. Im a thinkin it was .8 but had to go to a 2.4

I have read that they change jetting which makes sense since they are supposed to increase flow, I guess. Could it be its not at a optimal air fuel ratio therefore it's not making full use of the potential and if jetted for the reeds he would then pull the weight? I am just throwing out a theory, I'm interested in this topic. I have read don't get them unless, okay I have slp triples mrviper trail ported heelclicker setup, would this qualify for the above mentioned "unless" requirement?

Hummmm. I wonder if an air jet adjustment would make things right. Providing plugs and wash is ok.

I would find a stock set and retest to eliminate other source for this issue.

The cost is so low I would go to your local dealer as they will have them in 2-3 days.
