45 miles on a tank is horrible! thats like 4-5 mpg
its a 2000 sxr 700.
It was a warm day so i know it was going to be a tad rich 0 deg cel today and jetted up to -25 deg cel.
I was hoping to get 100 miles per tank and around 9 mpg.
Im running hauck pipes 45 pilots, 150 mains with the needle set to the 4th position as per haucks specs.
heel clicker clutching and geared down one tooth up top. also extended to a 136" track.
Any suggestions where to start? what are you guys getting with these pipes?

probably 8" of snow and right at 0 deg cel. Up and down hills and a lot of slow speed 4' wide trails. Wasn't riding like an old lady either most of the time. I ran out of fuel within 300 feet of the trailer haha glad i had extra fuel with me!

You must be leaken fuel or something. Worst I ve seen was 12 mpg with lots of deep snow play. ( I have stock exhaust though) My best was 15 mpg in very mild weather so I'm sure I could get better.

I had the light come on after 40 or 45 miles of open fields running 60 and up. That 8 inches of snow, were you breaking trail? I have slp's best I have got is around 60 miles then took 9 gallons. My buddies all say I can pass anything but a gas station

The fields we were in was pretty crusty but under was wet heavy snow. I could feel it working hard in some spots but overall a pretty easy ride.
Check carbs, o-ring and Washers at fuel screw had bad ones in my viper ut sucked fuel very bad especially when going slow also check that they are put in the right order.
