I just had both my clutches rebuilt and I notice that it engages good from a stop but when your going around 25-35mph and you want to speed up it revs up like crazy if you really throttle down it will get going but it's not right. It seems like there is a little stumble but not real bad ,and at idle it runs fine.Any ideas?

When driving around 25-35mph and you try to speed up the engines rpm revs way up and it's not engaging until you really throttle down. But with that said I also notice a little stumble/hesitation just before trying to speed up,I don't believe that's affecting the engagement as it's very little .Also when it's idling it runs fine.Just wondering is it a carb issue or clutch or anything else I should be looking at?

At idle and when accelerating up to 25 mph it's smooth ,25-35 is when you can feel the hesitation and again it's very minimal. And when you try to speed up the engines just revs up and during this time it's running fine.

Sounds like your secondary is holding the shift out. Could be too much pre-wind or your using a different belt than before.

We did put on a brand new belt after clutches where rebuilt ,but makes sense about the secondary.I must say when you do rev it up to get in engaged it really catches and goes like crazy. But the engine reving that high is no good, guess I shoul take back to the guy to adjust.
