Hey all, just got our first good snow here in the thumb so I went out for a ride and noticed after I got back my headlight wasn't working. I bought one of the H4 single bulb LED setups from Rock and it was working great when I left. It flickered a little bit at low Rpm but smoothed out under throttle. I did notice the female end of the harness seemed to have melted a little. I thought that was the answer but I went to napa and swapped in a 5 dollar bulb and it lit right up. I just bought the led last summer and this was my first time out with it in. If anyone could give me some insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Does your led bulb have a small cooling fan in the back or a flat "wire mesh" that fans open ?

It has the wire mesh heat sink that spreads open.

Also what is the max wattage you can pull from the sled without a battery. I was thinking of mounting a cheap 36 watt light bar on the hood in place of the headlight by wiring terminals to the light bar and plugging them in to the factory harness and dropping the stock bulb altogether.
