So I picked up a 69 sl 351 at an auction a while back yep I always wanted one mostly just to look at but would love to get it running it came with a tillutson diaphragm carb I'm pretty sure this is not right I believe they came with two options either a keihn or a mikuni slide does anyone know what size mikuni slide should be on this sled and what size jets thanks..

I thought the SL-351 was only built for 1968 and normally had a Mikuni VM26 carb. I think there was an alternate diaphragm carb used but not sure on how many sleds or what model.

I think they did sell the 68 model the following year as well, but am not sure. Maybe this was called a 69 model and possibly had the diaphragm carb that was also used on the 338 on it.

the 68 model was a sl 350 which I was told was a non production model built one per dealer for testing and promotion purposes 69 was the first year for a production consumer sled and the sl 351

You are probably right. That's what I get from going by memory. Now you are sending to read the book LOL

Yup dad bought one in 1968 as a 1969 model had the Mikuni carb and has the bracket and lever for the oil injection. the 350 in 68 was all white and the SL351 was red /White.

There are a couple of guys over at Vintagesleds.com that are big into those early Yammies. You would probably have better luck getting the information you need there.
