Hello, new to the forum but have a few older yamaha phazers and one of them is a 1985... i have an AAEN pipe and going to be putting it on this sled. i want to make this perform well and fast yet still be reliable. What jetting should i use with the pipe and also what other supporting mods should be done? Is there much porting to be had in these motors? Thanks in advanced

110 pilot, 147-150 mains, at sea level to 3000'ish. Clutching should be done to take full advantage of the pipe.

I liked the Exciter weights in mine with that pz clutch. Can't remember for sure which primary spring. Red/Green I believe. I am sure someone will chime in. Definitely go up one tooth on the top. You are aiming for about a 4,000 engagement and I think the shift was a little over 7,000.

Do not regear the sled no need ..... depends on the years of the phazer you have I have different clutching to work with the different weights over the years

Any chance you would have info or suggestion for a 93 ST with Aaen pipe/7 tooth driver/141x1.75/16-33 gears?
