Hello, new to the forum but have a few older yamaha phazers and one of them is a 1985... i have an AAEN pipe and going to be putting it on this sled. i want to make this perform well and fast yet still be reliable. What jetting should i use with the pipe and also what other supporting mods should be done? Is there much porting to be had in these motors? Thanks in advanced

110 pilot, 147-150 mains, at sea level to 3000'ish. Clutching should be done to take full advantage of the pipe.

And yes there are gains to be had porting. Just got mine back from mrviper
				
			Any suggestions for clutching with the pipe?

I liked the Exciter  weights in mine with that pz clutch. Can't remember for sure which primary spring. Red/Green I believe. I am sure someone will chime in. Definitely go up one tooth on the top. You are aiming for about a 4,000 engagement and I think the  shift was a little over 7,000.

Do not regear the sled no need ..... depends on the years of the phazer you have    I have different clutching to work with the different weights over the years

Any chance you would have info or suggestion for a 93 ST with Aaen pipe/7 tooth driver/141x1.75/16-33 gears?
