Looking at a very reasonable 99 srx 600 to mod into a unique racer to play with.
Curious to see some thoughts/opinions on doing this.
Along with what should be done to lighten and increase power.
Planning on rear skid swap, fox float front shocks, lighter seat (newer rmk?), clutching, 1.75 track with driver and gearing changes, different skis, and.... well chime in guys.

Your definitely going to want to do a Bar setup with a riser and extended lines. RSI has everything you need. Fly racing makes some great stuff too that is more affordable.

you will need to reinforce that steering post on a 600, they will have the crappy one. Are you making a hobby sled or something to run at a race. If for racing, check your rules, you may change your mind. Races are crappy about allowing older iron to be updated to modern anything to compete equally.

Just something for some fun special events. I miss racing. I'm old and beat up. The rules for the events I'm looking at are pretty open for age of sled and chassis modifications. Just limits on motor as far as boring or porting.
If the cc size restrictions weren't 600cc I'd just run my Viper.
