It seems that the site here in Canada is down, must be overloaded. I've been trying to get on it for about 2 hours now and nothing, but I have checked out the new iron on the US site. Pretty impressive, coming with a factory turbo. But I have to admit some part of me thought they might just bring back the SRX name for a sled like that.

might have shutdown and left town...besides the motor being engineered in Japan it still the same old heavy *** machine built for lakes and trails...but I am sure the power will be impressive just not made for the mountains.

I would have liked to see an old model name too, they brought the Viper back why not another.

I thought there was a pretty good chance that Yamaha would've come to the table with their own chassis design for the 3 cylinder engines, but I guess they must be satisfied with the deal with Cat.

Yes it would've. It just seems to be Yamaha's m.o. to bring back sled model names after so many years. Seeing the SRX name on another high performance Yamaha sled would be cool.

it just wouldn't be right seeing the SRX name on a 4 stroke though.....

Yamaha Canada site is up.
Note the price of the RTX-LE $19,299.
That means over 20 grand before you get it on your truck.....insane.

Yeah,I was looking at those prices today, unreal. I didn't pay all that much more for my truck when I bought it than what some of those prices are.

wow could almost by two other brands for price of one of these. that way when one breaks down you have a spare. gonna be some showroom dust on these machines.

If I had the money I'd definitely be one of those people. As much as I'd like to see Yamaha come back with a high performance 2 stroke,it just doesn't look like it's going to happen, and if I could afford it I would have myself one of the new factory turbos.

I jumped ship this year and bought a 2016 900 Renegade, that was way more than I cared to spend, almost went with a Phazer XTX but was tempted with 900 motor.
Sold my Phazer 2, one of my 93 Exciter SX and a Yamaha Excel 3 I had owned for over 20 years, still have 2 Exciter SX in various stages of restoration so still with the Yam family.
I hope the new turbos work well, if i get a run on one I just might be tempted to take out that mortgage.
