A few things i'm i want to do to my EW643B

What are the pro's and con's?

Replacing ski's with ones from a 76 gs340 that have shocks

replace carb with a Mikuni carb off of a 79' 340 enticer, and the tunnel

now for the biggie .... i want to lift the rear end. but instead of using steel plates i was thinking of using the coilover shocks mounted on the rear mount. i know i will have to raise the front a little as well. and i would mount the top of shock a little higher in the tunnel then the original mount so it wouldnt be so high.

and last add on a tunable chrome Kerker megaphone muffler.

Really ??? bit like trying to make a hi performance tank ?? The ski saddles are too wide to mount on complete ,,, and the old ones may have had
ski shock would have been GP models ....
Not sure how much fuel it will take to run twice the displacement ... I had seen where someone added (glued on) a Mik....
Raising the susp will get you some clearance but won't change the ride .... pushing the rear cog down will chip it away ,,, maybe lower the bogies and
move the rear axle ahead to allow for the change in length .... making it louder wont make it go faster.... it is a 5,500 rpm engine ,,, not from a GP
or a SR ..... Utility , cruiser of its time ,,, the fluid drive makes them very "smooth" and the 73 has the raised seat and high windshield if lucky...
....
Pro's ,,, one of a kind ..
Con's ..... will still do anything but turn ,,, the steering spindles and rods will not withstand adding more pressure on skis and bent or break off.
and spreaders will also bust them off or twist them .... designed with the skis narrow and ahead of track so it would go through snow and
not hard packed trails..
I stopped trying to groom with one as it wandered like using trees reading brail in the bush ..
