sxr clutching

please help i have a 2001 700 sxr my primary clutch exploded and destryoed my secondary also. i just bought psi modblaster pipes and maxx clutch kit and have not instailed them yet. my clutch kit is for saposably for 00-01 700,i found set of clutchs off 98 700 srx will this clutch work, what are the differnces between myn clutchs and 98 srx clutchs, and should my clutch kit work. I was told that posibly the only differnces were primary cover ether tall newer and older clutches have low cover any buddy know? and by instailing 98 clutches i know i will have to reset up clutch but will i loose any performce with oldert clutches, thanks to any ones input t-maxx one more thing debating on 98 srx 700 clutchs with 22 humdred miles or 00 700 sxr clutchs with 4500 miles

The 98 700 SRX clutches run smaller rollers & a lighter diameter primary spring. this will lower your rpm,s if you bolt your old clutch kit in it. It uses the same tall cover primary cover as your SX-r did.
