Srx 700 Carb questions

I have a 1998 srx 700 and i need to check what the Needle is set at. I wanna check what grove the locking ring is on. It literally looks like i would have to dissemble the entire carb. is there an easier way to just check the needle settings?

Good post above. SHould be able to get at them and check without even taking carbs out. Have done many times.
