Just bought my '93 Exciter II ST, should have electric start, I know I need a battery, but don't see the starter motor (hoping it isn't missing)...attaching a photo. Can someone tell me where it is/should be?

I don't see a starter or a ring gear on the clutch. My guess is somebody removed it.

Starter should be located under the y-pipe.

The ring gear on those would be on the flywheel, starter would be mounted on the mag side of the engine.
i do not see it under the y-pipe. might be under the carbs like my et is. i know it is on the front of the 485 venture motors as that is where i got my starter from.
