My Viper has Bender triple pipes and an Optikool head gasket. Other than those two things the engine is pretty well stock. We did take the shelf out of the airbox but I can't seem to find a definitive answer on this. Ive read and heard everything from 8700 to 9200 rpm. Mine will pull 9000 or just a tad over (on the trail at least, usually in the deep stuff working hard I'm pulling just under 9000 usually (I wanna say 8700 to 8900). I'm guessing I need to get into my primary clutch maybe.

The 3D timing map used to be posted on here, but that was many years ago. There is timing retard somewhere in the 8750 range (I think), others will likely remember for sure. I would check your tach for accuracy. It does seem like the Benders liked high rpm's. I would try a search as all of this info was posted and hopefully not deleted.
