Ok, any grass drag tips would be appreciated.
500 feet
1986 vmax 540
Stock motor as far as I know.
P85 Primary ( weights/spring )?
Arctic Cat Secondary: ( helix / spring ) ?
Gearing: ?
I have stock and AAEN exhaust to play with.
Keep stock timing I assume.
Still running airbox, might go pods, Im already crunched for time so not sure if I feel like rejetting also...
Any proven tips/tricks/secrets would be swell.
Not expecting to even win, just have fun at one or two events.

Where in Wi is there a grass drag coming anytime soon?????
Setup I use on mine will probably not be right for you, but I can give you the basics
My set up has no air box, I use non PJ carbs and engine is 617 cc so actual jet numbers will be different. Most important thing is jet right for the temp of the day. Whats right for 20 won't be right for 40 etc. I use EGT gauges which make it pretty easy, lacking those watch plugs.
The other thing that makes you fast is clutch, I have a Pol P85 which is different then comet part numbers or Yami stuff.
My engine which has drastically different porting, peaks at 8400 so I clutch for that You should be able to fine the number a st engine likes here from someone. The goal is to try to get it to maintain that number all the way from Shiftout point to your max speed. A recording tach is your best friend for this.
Last thing is traction. what you need for studs is determined by the ground you have to race on
I realize none of this directly answers your question but best I can do never even drove mine much when it was stock 535 sorry.
