Port work, Any recomendations as to who is the best out there, or who you would recommend to do it? Also anyone who has had it done, What have been your rezults? Good bad? What did you gain and in what area of the power curve?

Anyone else have any info on this subject?
I have tryed to contact MRVIPER. No responce as of yet. Any one have a business contact # for him?

OK. With all the vipers out there and given the age of this engine and sled. I thought I would have a ton of feedback. Not only who but Pros and cons, Power gaines, areas of improvement, jeting, Rpm.

Come on guys this is like building a small block chevy at this point!!!

So kinda frustrated at this point. Now I am thinking about having it done by SLP/ Starting line performance. I have the SLP pipes and have been problem free for the past 10 years. So thinking there port work should work well with there pipes. Any one have this done???

Ok well im still looking for opinions on The PEAK performance heads. Good, bad? ?? Hp gains or loss? Quality or not?? Up cc or drop for reliability??

Problem is most if the big guys are gone already for summer. Only one I knew that did it was mrviper but looks like he hasn't been on in a while. I'm sure any company that has references and a good name can do good work on these Sleds. Like ya said it's been around a while. I've heard nothing but good about a good port Jo just never did it myself. Have ya done some searching around the site about port work? Even Google?

thanks guys. I have ported bbc heads sbc heads along with others. I know that you can take a perfectly good part and make it great. But remove to much material and it is junk nothing more than a paper wait. With 2 stroke engine its even more critical. Other factors come into play. So really was hoping to get some rèal feed back on who, power gains, seat of the pants difrence.
I am sure I could do a basic clean up and polish exhaust ports. I however was looking for a pro.
I have searched and read almost everything i could find. So many posts started but seams they just get dropped at the end and there is no rezults posted.

Same seams to go with other bolt ons like the PEAK heads. I would gather cooling is better. But What cc works best? Have people found any power gains? Has anyone dino proven power? if I drop cc would it be more reliable and at what cost of power?

You can always ask the question to the guy on the other end of the phone and every time he will tell you his stuff is better to make a sale. He wants your money. However I do not mind paying for a quality job.

I love my sled and to be honest I can not justifi or really aford to buy the new sidewinder. That is the only sled I would compare to my viper or consider buying. So I will try to make this the best all around sled I can. The porting and head are the last two items I am looking to do for power gains. And I really have no intrest in a big bore kit.

I can't really talk about the viper since I have never owned one but I had mr. Viper do a 780 srx motor for me that was awesome. It started life as a 600 so the jump from 120ish hp to 160ish was pretty huge. Thing was super reliable and ran the same everyday. Don's clutching and jetting recs were basically spot on. I ran that package for 4 years and all I ever did was add fuel. I had a red head motor that was done by another guy from Canada and that one ran great too so if done by someone that knows what they are doing they are reliable and make good gains. Never had one on the dyno but it was pretty obvious that I was making more power in both cases. Given your location you may want to touch base with full power performance as they are pretty close to you.

Thank you. I just checked there site. They are only a little over an hour away. I will give them a call as well. Maybe even take a ride out there sometime soon.
