Looks like we won't be Wintering in AZ anymore due to the bad air there so I might as well make the best of it in Maine.
I looked at the preowned year 2000 SXR's snow machines but I really don't want anything with 2500 miles on it and such.
A two or three year old sled/sleds would work. Actually I need four and want them all identical so to scavenge parts off of if need be.

Any polite advice would be appreciated.

If you're looking for a newer machine it'll have to be a 4 stroke so you might want to ask the guys on the 4 stroke side too.

08 or newer Vector. They're good all around sleds. And fuel mileage is probably one of the best, if not thee best of any brand of the 4 stoke liter sleds.

Couple things.....before giving good advice on a sled I think it would be best for you to provide a bit more information....IE: how much experience on snowmobile do you have? What kind of riding are you looking to do ( playing in the powder off trail, nothing but trail, a mix of both, out for land speed records or a gentle cruuse, exc)? You mentioned 4 identical sleds, does this mean someone else is riding with you and if so what is there experience, or are you just wanting 3 parts sleds? Would you prefer 2 or 4 stroke?
Thus will help us better understand what it is you are looking for and hopefully provide you the best advice.
