Hi Guys, been awhile. On my 90 srv I have a psi pipe saying psi racing towards the front of hood.
and narrows down a little at back of pipe. I got anther one of a 87 srv . Says psi at the fan and pull rope area and gets real narrow at the back. Are there two different style pipes.
87. Mine 90 pipe
thanks for any info

block stamping in the mid section is a older design pipe the other with the script stamping is a newer 2nd gen design pipe or known as the pro pipe

Thanks yamaha Nuts . Only difference is the 87 psi pipe , the back section is way smaller in roundness then the psi racing one . Back by the chain case. Is the smaller one better in performance? Or just keep the one I got in there ?. Thanks again.

pretty much the only difference is in the silencer section the pro pipe has a bigger silencer and exits the stock hole and should sound different due the the double core silencer design i will have to check the set up sheets again but i believe both pipes run at 7-7200 rpms

Thanks. The older pipe with the smaller silencer I thought would have more performance, don't no way I am thinking that. The end of the pipe doesn't go out of stock hole like the other one. Looks like it's was cut at a 45 degree

To yamaha nuts. Took newer pipe out and put older one in. Flange springs to loose. ( pipe had to been shorten ?) doesn't fit in back exit hole in frame , 3 to 4 inches to long. Started it up has a cool sound and some power. Still stv psi pipe with mods you think. Thanks

nuts is right on. psi racing is newer pipe and design. '' psi '' is older pipe. my experience with psi is '' psi racing '' is the pipe you want. 3:16x (yammie tony)
