I have a set of VMax 600 flatslides and throttle block that I want to install on a stock phazer just so I can tune the midrange where it will spend most of its run time. I am not looking for any performance enhancement and am running stock air box, reeds, porting and pipe and clutching.

Most of the advice I can find on jetting on TY is for a piped sled. Does a anyone have a good starting point for the jetting for a stock phazer.

For a stock motor, All tuning parts should remain as they came on a Vmax 600 with the exception of the main which should be changed to 145's. You will have to take the guts out of the air box or you will be very rich. This is Yamaha Nutz's set up.

yes start with 145 mains....may have to drop the pilots to 47.5 .....i have only ever ran flats on at least a piped stock motor but never on a bone stock set up ...yes air box will have to be gutted completely ...............

Thanks. I have a couple of spare air boxes so no problem gutting one. Waiting for an AAEN quiet can pipe to show up somewhere for a reasonable price before I go any further.

Lot's of other projects to work on in the mean time.

just call aaen and get one he will be happy to build you a fresh one,.............. he might even have one ready to go ....way better than having a have worn out one and yes it can happen i personally have seen it
