Im trying to find a good used exhaust expansion pipe (mid pipe) for my 2004 Venom. Does anyone know what other sleds ran the 8CH-14620-20-00 mid pipe? I'm looking to expand my search by sled model instead of part number. Thanks.

I heard a viper pipe system might help that motor breath better. Might be wrong. I have not seen it done yet nor with numbers. But food for thought.

How about a stock pipe from a 2004 Viper 700 black head? The Yamaha part #'s are different but I dont think the Venom has a heat shield. Is that the only difference?

No that won't be a exact match. That is a viper pipe. The venom used the redhead non power valves motor. What RB is talking about is putting a viper pipe system on a red head motor. Like RB heard about it but never seen it done or any info on it. Stick with redhead pipe.

So the ebay one that Super1c linked to above does look in good shape. The MFG part # for that one is 8ch-14620-10-00 and the MFG part # for my venom is listed at 8ch-14620-20-00. Any concerns here?

I have a redhead 700 with a viper pipe. I use the stock redhead manifold, but I use a SLP can to make it fit under the hood (the stock viper can is too tall for the 700sx hood). I don't have the jetting dialed in yet. It seems flat at the top end. But other then that it runs well, seems to have good power. I might try to get it dynoed this fall. But there always seems to be something else to spend the money on.
