I bought a 98 xtc 600 twin from my neighbor he blew the clutch apart in the middle of the summer. He put on a 88r clutch from a 92 exciter2 Now the sled won't pull over 4500 rpms and it won't pull its self on the trailer. Is this clutch not letting it pull? Thanks in advance guys

Most likely the 88r clutch is still running the tuning components for the exciter or it needs servicing as well. For the most part, beyond the different weights, rollers, setting for belt width, etc, the main difference between those clutches is the sheave angles and the minute difference in angles wouldnt create your problem.
Most likely you put on a crap clutch on in place of a crap clutch. Also consider belt condition.

So got it all put back together and it pulled better but noticed it was running tight so started pulling things apart to find a bad bearing on the drive shaft and a broke motor mount.
