I have a 97 sx700. My floats are always stuck. I could clean the carbs today and they would be stuck in 2 weeks or so. The sled has less then 4000 miles it runs every season 200-500 miles. Last year I had a shop clean them I had the same issue stuck float in couple of weeks. Is there something I could spray on them to help stop this?? What am I missing? I know part of the problem is from sitting. I have tried several different carb cleaners.
Replace the inlet needles and put some good fuel in it.

Make sure the fuel filters are still on the hoses in the tank(if not you can get lots of dirt sucked up).
With the inlet needles I am assuming those are the ones needle and seat? Is it as simple as taking the float off remove the screw that hold the needle and seat in. Then how does that come apart. A small how to would be great so I have an idea what I am getting into.
