yamaha vmax 700 crank seals???

So I bought a 97sx and a 98venture that had a 600red head in it, which I am making into my mountain max. So to get to the point I am rebuilding the 700 to put in the mm, and I want to do the crank seals while my motor is apart and I notice the pto side crank seal is behind a bearing, do I have to get this pressed off and can I change the deal with out f***ing the bearing? Also what are thoughts of discolouration on crank?

Discoloration on the crank is normal

I've had a crank shop do them in the past. And the discoloration is normal.

the blue color is from when the crank is assembled, the female side is heated up so the pin from the other pork chop will install into the half. You can change the seal but you need a bearing puller to remove, but when you put it back together you need to have a block precisely the thickness of the gap between the crank half weights so when you press the bearing back on you don't take the crank out of true and or bend it.
