I have 3 vipers. all of them to turn the carb heaters on I have to use pliers. Is this normal are they supposed to be moved by hand? can I just spray them with wd40?

This is normal, nothing you do will fix how they turn. A long way back on of the guys fabbed up a tool that fit the triangle knob to make it easier. I just turn them on and leave them on. only time i turn off is to clean carbs then turn right back on.

Also in the manual it will tell you the bolt on the top of that knob is a bleed hole for coolant. This also does not work and never has since new, Design flaw. Just a FYI if you wondered.

thanks
I've taken the one on my SRX apart, sanded lightly the inside of the coolant and used vaseline,I think,on the o ring. It's helped for years.
