Just noticed the viper I recently purchase has a 1" half circle hole in the plastic above the front right shock, in front of the silencer can. Guessing this shouldn't be there, but it looks like it was cut on purpose, but I don't know why? I'm thinking I should seal it with some speed tape or something.

That can happen if someone had different shocks/mounts to add height to the SRX. But I would think you'd see it on both sides if that were the case, too.

Got a pic?
Maybe the best thing would be to cut it so #62 fits in there, or course you would have to buy one 90338-30256-00 PLUG:

Not sure about the size but I think it is bigger than the hole you have now.

I'll get a picture. Good idea on the plug, I could probably pick something similar up at a hardware store.
A couple of bucks

I'm just guessing as I can't compare but that hole looks like it was the original hood cable spot that ripped out? That cable looks out of place? Either way just plug it with somthing to keep snow out.

There is a plastic knob that sits there for the "hood tie down" to mount to. Some pipes require removal of this knob to clear the plastics.
