hello,
I just bought a new hold over 2002 srx. I would like to modify it and need some suggestions. I already ordered the Bender TS3 rods. Wondering about the Bender silencer? Any jetting changes for that?
Thanks

i would atlesast recomend a silencer can....that would make it sound better and lighten up the sled. maybe throw a clutch kit in it an gear it lower for more power out of the hole, thats if you dont care about top speed.

ya i have a bender on my viper it sounds a lot better
no need to change jetting.
hope i helped u out a little
I dont know as much as some of the other die hards do'

Everyone says silencers slow the srx down.So keep that in mind.I have a Dyno Port 3 pack cause i like the sound.I would recomend a Temp Flow and run 150,148.8,148.8 jeting with it.Turks got some good setups on the clutch page.

if your going to buy a silencer buy an mbrp they wont make you lose hp unlike other brands. also I would put 192 studs in that track for hook up. Maybe a hauck boost bottle for mid range. if you really got money to burn you can put some v force reeds. I have made out great with aaen pipes on my srx gained 4 mph on top, lost 23 lbs and got great sound, better than i think a silencer could give. These pipes also rock from low to mid range. I have a dyno sheet with my mods to prove the gains. The pipes gave 8-10hp, the reeds 1-2, I have some tmx 38 carbs that gave me 7hp, the boost bottle gave 2hp on top. Also a bender racing steering pivot makes steering much easier.

I appreciate all the help!! :D Some say no need to change jetting with silencer, others say to change????? :?
One of my friends recommended the transfer rods. He said all Yamaha need them. He also just bought a 2004 Arctic Cat EFI F7 Sno Pro. He's dieing to run my SRX. He's been up against Polaris 800s and an 03 F7 and spanked all them. Kind or wondering what mine will do? He's quite a bit lighter so I'm thinking he'll take me out of the hole. He also has studs and I don't.

F'ers are real quick out of the hole. They hit their brakes before you go by them because they know it's inevitable. It's hard to compare an f'ers 1.375 track to an srx's .920 lug. I bought an 1 1/4 track for this year...guess why!
