This latest yamaha snowmobile patent seems to show body work on a new chassis, but notice there is no rear exhaust to speak of(Just an outlet on the side similar to a two-stroke),it would be nice to see an all new yamaha liquid-cooled two-stroke sled again. http://pdfpiw.uspto.gov/.piw?PageNu...D%2Bsnowmobile%26RS=yamaha%2BAND%2Bsnowmobile

Looks a lot like a new 120 is coming out. Did not look like there was a place for a gauge pod. And down by the running board the chain housing looks like the 120 is now. If it is I hope they boost the engine up to a 300. Would be a great idea for someone to invest in our youths to keep them interested with out trying to find an older 500 or even yet a ski doo 380.

I'd like to see a "tweener" sled myself. I'm getting my son a sled for Xmas and since there's no new offering from Yamaha for his age group I'm looking at old Phazers and such. Would really rather a modern style chassis with 250-400cc but it is what it is.
As far as the exhaust not coming out the rear I wouldn't read into that much. The new Viper and Sidewinder exit just like a 2 stroke

Wonder why the chaincase is on the opposite side,a tweener sled or new 120 makes sense(also would explain the larger ski loops),is it a modern sno-scoot?.

I can't actually see the patent because I'm on my phone and it won't show it. A replacement for the phazer class isn't out of the question. I've also read some speculation on a new style transmission aka no belt. But that is just wild speculation nothing from anybody in the know.
