I have a 1994 vmax 600. It has a goodwin performance hydr. Brake conversion on it. I got the sled out from the corner and pulled the brake and the piston in the resivoir stayed stuck in. The lever master cylinder assembly is a Magura brand. I tried to pull it apart and get the piston out with no luck. So my question is if i gotta replace it i cant find a part number on the unit. Will any master cylinder work for this? All it does it pump the fluid to the caliper right?
I found some master cylinder units online that are magura and look the same as mine from the picture. But maybe just try a yamaha one because i have seen threads about people making their own conversions. Thanks.

Swap in a complete master assembly from any trailing arm Yamaha 2001 or older. Brake light and hi-low beam switches plug right into your Vmax harness. They are all over ebay and cheap. Not sure what may be needed to adapt the hose from your caliper. If it's metric it might hook right up too.

Picked up a master cylinder from a 1997 sx 700. Anyone know what the threads are on the end of the master cylinder off hand? Not the same as my brake line so gonna have to find an adapter.
