Due to the lack of travel! I am curious how people are setting up the stock skid for trail riding. I weight about 240... and it seems to almost bottom out when I sit on it lol. Also curious if anyone runs 1.375 picks I have a set and thought I might throw them in but I am assuming they are too tall considering how much little space I have available in this skid. Any suggestion would be appreciated! It has torsion adjusters installed.

Thanks in advance!

For all those reasons outlined, we rip it out and start fresh! Mine was so beat I had to swap out. I'm 240 and my back couldn't take it!

I don't beleave the shocks have been replaced. Looking into the suspension setup it seems to be set on soft. I am going to mess around with it and see what I can come up with. Hopefully we get some snow tomorrow.

Thanks

If your going to use the stock skid I'd say get the shocks rebuilt for your weight and riding style, maybe even a heavier spring for the rear shock. You could also opt for a set of Viper shocks giving you more travel and more shock to play with for ride height (set in) but even then you'd probably have to have them revalved to get a decent ride out of them.

go to an extra 10....yes I said extra 10 with the square rear springs and the position sensitive rear fox shock and you will never go back to the oem crap ever again. My 2000 even has ohlins rear shocks and it is still no where as nice as the 10 and im 240 as well.

i put new bushings in mine, braced the w arm, put bearings in the center shock and taped grease fittings into the pivots and then used bethevipers set up as a place to start and wow. i actually have a nice riding skid.

SC10III doo skid on all my yhammys,,,,,,,,,,,, better top end, less weight, twice the ride...............
