94 Phazer ll issues need some help

In the process of restoring a few Phazers
, almost done the 94 tonight have everything together minus fuel tank and clutches, motor is from a 91 so changed out stator for 94 stator to keep wiring the same the issue I am having is as soon as connect battery starter engages no matter what position key is in, unplugged key switch no change.....sled is new to me so unsure if the was a pre-existing problem or not??

any insight would be greatly appreciated, trying to get it on the snow before the holidays for the nieces and nephews to enjoy

Bad solenoid or rectifier??

i am with Shaun bad solenoid .........unplug red small wire to solenoid to check
