I'm going to install a temp gauge in the srx. I have seen the sending unit drilled and tapped into the cooling rail just behind the center cylinder. Is this a good place. The sending unit has to be grounded and there isn't a good way to ground it without getting creative using the inline adapter. Anyone have any ideas before I cut the coolant line or drill the coolant rail?

The inline adapters work well, I just added a ground wire for a good connection. There is also a little "boss" on the bottom of the coolant rail (beside the original temp sensor) that can be utilized as well.

The sending unit I have doesn't have a place to put a ground. I could try to screw an electrical connector on with it but I think I would rather go in the coolant rail if I can. I never even flipped the rail over to look. Lol thanks
