Just picked this up. Been sitting for 8 years. Extremely mint. All rubber is soft. No cracks damage cuts tears, nothing. Factory fresh.
Sitting so long we're doing the carbs. What looks like coolant is coating the inside of the air box, and tiny bits on the carb throats. It has heated carbs. But the doesn't allow coolant into the throttle body?
Any ideas?
Also, just a question. This has electric start and reverse. I know my old 96 vmax xt that wasn't electric start used ac current for the headlight. Does the electric start model use DC current for the headlight?
Thanks guys.

Yes, at the inlet of the carbs there are anti freeze passages in the shapes of upside down V with U shape rubber hoses inbetween .
On top of the air box you will find the control valve. I'm guessing something sprung a leak?
