700 srx gurus needed

I have a 99 700 srx. Sled is new to me so I'm learning about this motor. It is a fresh motor that was sent to aaen and had the crank welded and a stage 3 trail port done. What can I do to complement what has been done so far,best pipes,carb boring ect. turning it into a sled to run in the mountains. Will be truning a 162 track ect.
 
Srx is a great trail sled and some people convert them to mountain sleds, however I think it's easier to use a viper imo. Vipers have more suspension, the deep snow specials (144" track) come with a more narrow ski stance.

I have heard of some people putting a viper skid in their srx and changing the front suspension over to viper also. I believe one of the problems you're going to run into is the front heat exchanger to track clearance.

With a 162 track, you'll have and pay attention to your clutching and gearing also.

For my vipers, I have 4.5" Rox adjustable handlebar risers. About 3" is about as far as you can go without lengthening all the cables.

Not sure if any of this helps but some srx guys will help you out.
 
Srx guys will know that one. I'm jetted for, non piped vipers. What elevation and temps will you be riding at?

You can perform a search on here to see if there are some srx jetting posts. Matter of fact, you may want to go to the Mountain forum and ask the same question. It may be worth a try.
 
I would run a straight helix so it wont up shift.boring carbs will help with a little more hp.the rpm should be 8300 rpms.look at the mountain sleds & look at rear suspension thay move them back 3 or 4 in.some one will give better info on that.when she's done post sum pic's.:winterrul:yam:
 
Thanks will do.Is what I got is a bunch of chassie parts left over from past builds. A cmx belt drive system 162 cr racing m-10 and this sled lol.I got the chassie stuff down just needing to get the most from this motor that has a good start. where I rid is only about 2500 to 6000 feet in ele. all wide open point and shoot type climbing.
