bought two vipers last year barely rode them until this year. One had been running amsoil synthetic two stroke , guy gave me spare jug with sled. other one running plain tcw 3 two stroke from Canadian tire guy also gave me jug with sled. cleaned power valves on both sled last year . Didn't notice much difference in terms of deposits. My goal is to run both on the same oil eventually . Wife and I like to cruise and tour trail ride. We like to do overnite trips which could mean we may not be able to buy the kind of oil we want if we happen to be in a remote location. My question which brand oil would you guys recommend I switch both sleds to.

Yamalube. I'm not a believer in synthetic.

You will get a ton of different opinions on this. I ran yamalube and it was ok. Running klotz now and love it. Seems cleaner to me. These Yamaha triples are very good on oil.

I'm a huge fan of MYSTIK JT-4 full synthetic. Great oil at a stupid good price.

Having said that, if I could not get it..... Yamalube is next in line.

Yamalube, seen too many Yamaha triple engines exceed 10000 miles on the original engine to ever switch, lots of Polaris guys use it in the newer engines too because the Polaris oil doesn't cut it... There coming out with a Polaris best extreme oil because the blue and gold are not cutting it

Tried many oils. Yamalube burns very clean. Nice clean powervalves compared to other oils. Also pretty cheap!

Klots was my favorite but went to MYSTIK JT-4 because of the price.

iPone. Works great with little carbon build up on the power valves

Having good luck with Amsoil. Use it in everything now, cars, tractor, dump truck, excavator. Even the grease is staying in the equipment a lot nicer!
