Hello Everyone,
I picked up a 2001 Sxr700 w/Estart for my wife. When I purchased I noticed it wasn't idling on all three cylinders. As I gave it throttle it began to run on all three.
I brought it home put fresh 93 octane gas and rebuilt the carbs. The pilots were all plugged. Now it idles on all three and is very responsive.
My question is, at higher rpm is spins the track hard and make a pinging sound, almost like the engine is engaging traction control to stop the track spin.
Any ideas on what this could be?
I haven't disconnected the TPS yet but I may try that later today.
I was thinking more along the line of a clutch issue, but it appears to be all stock with the addition of studs.
This was the gentleman's wifes sled. He had the exact same one with a stinger and clutch kit. I chose to buy the stock one
Thanks

Have you cleaned your clutches and made sure nothing is worn out?
