Will it burn down if I change needle clip setting to 1,5 from 2,0? I am riding at approx 360 feet, no colder than -18c or 0F.

It all comes down to what your observing with your spark plugs and piston tops. If they all look good and it's runner rich, mite as well try it out.

That said, what's your fuel and oil consumption like?
Just curious as my triple with aggressive driving gets round 4kms per liter, Or 176 kms per 44 L tank and 900ml of Yamalube. My sled runs on the rich side.

The best so far was about 9 mpg, but that was with sticking sliders. Lowering the cruising rpm helped some. I will have to look into the clutching again. But the last time, it had burnt almost half tank of gas (45 liters) in just 60 km, and the jetting (main jet) was way leaner than the book calls for. Did 95% of the riding below 30 kph though. I don't suspect a leak either, because it doesn't smell fuel.

The 500 and 600 2 cylinder liquids get really bad milage. Unfortunately 9 mpg is not to bad for that sled. I have a 500 in the garage that has seen as low as 6 mpg and is regularly around 8 mpg. Brother in law has two that do about the same. Dependable just gas hogs.

Can I use SRX spark plug caps on this sled? I broke a ngk cap trying to yank it off. I guess I am going to check plugs many times if I go to 1,5 on the needles.

In what rpm range is the fuel delivery the most on the needles? What kind of mpg are you seeing after dropping them?

Waiting for reply on this. Did you have to run premium with that set up?

I have a initial set up for you. I used a white HC primary spring, about 4 grams in heel, and 3 grams in tip.
