My son is eyeing up the Boss seat for his VMax but it's worth half the value of his sled. I'm 6-5 and need a major seat lift on my venture. We would love to see pics of custom DIY seats out there. Thanks!

Stock with back chopped off, raised 2" with 4" extra foam on top. Folded back stock cover best i could for now.

Somebody posted a picture in another thread where they raised their seat. They built a wood frame out of 1x3 or 2x4 (don't remember). The frame was attached to the tunnel and the seat was hinged to the frame. It looked nice.

The problem I had with my stock Venture seat was, in additional to being too low, it was too wide when I stood up. I installed a Boss seat and love the increased height and narrowness. Sorry no pictures.

No pictures yet, but I have a viper seat on my sled. I just brought it to an upholstery guy and he's adding 3 1/2 inches of foam to it, to bring the whole seat level to the back hump of the seat. Total cost $180. I should have it in another week.

Just put a boss seat on my venture night and day difference completely new sled on a diet.

I did the same, but didn't remove the OEM backrest. I left it on for the "once a year" time my wife goes for a ride, and I install the OEM seat.

I also installed a bar riser. So far this season I have 10 miles :letitsnow
