Hi all, I'm a newbie to the site but not to sleds. I have a 2011 bravo that my daughter rides and recently blew a hole in the chaincase. I contribute it to a loose chain?....that I checked 50 miles prior to it going. I think the tensioner fell off and got kicked out the back of the case.

Questions: I'm hoping to slack the track off without removing the skid and change out the case. Sound reasonable or does the skid need to come out? Also, how does the brake assembly come off the case?

Thanks!

Yes that sounds reasonable. I don't see why you would have to remove he skid in order to replace the case. Loosening the track off will help the process especially when assembling. By removing the outer case should verify that, gears and bearings are usually held on by nuts and the inner case bolted to chassis/frame. You can download repair manuals from the internet because I don't know how they disassemble but I dont think it would be too difficult. From what I have read earlier in the season, as long as there are 'spots' still open to be a VIP member, the guys can forward you a link for a manual.
