Hey guys I was wandering what is the preferred gearing for a 2000 srx for trail and what for 660 ? Trying to get mine ready for riding if we ever get enough snow , pulled my cover and found that this sled I just picked up has 21/38 in it currently which seems a bit low for trail and abbot tall for 660 , any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks

racing 660 several years ago, I ran a 21/39 gear combination. I would always launch first off the line but would get run down at the line by F7...same guy 3 times in a row in different classes.
seems hard to believe, but I changed my gearing to 22/39 (during the race) and that same F7 never caught me again.
I my point is don't go to too low of gearing. From my experience low gearing works on grass, but more is required on snow.
