Hey all, looking for some thoughts on my sled. It runs fine but won't go above 50 kph. It's also super hard on fuel, went through roughly 20L in 50km.
We just cleaned the jets and as mentioned it's not running rough.

If you think it is making full power, then check out your clutches. Elevate and support the rear of the sled and see if you turn the track by hand in both directions without too much effort. Those motors only make about 65 hp stock (on a good day), so it doesn't take much to pull them down.
Out of curiosity did you check out the carbs completely including the position of the rubber plugs in the bowls and the starter circuits?

I'll give that a try tomorrow, never thought it might be the clutches. We were pretty thorough on the carbs, plugs and circuits included so I hope we didn't miss anything there.

I would remove the primary cover and spring and then check for binding. Also look for grooves on the weight arms and a weak spring. The check out the secondary and CTC and offset.
