My 02 Viper had a new crank replaced and new pistons at the end of last season. Rode it about 230 miles keeping it between 45-60. I was on a straight run about 5 miles from the cabin and hit the throttle and it responded with a hesitation and a bog. No warning lights, it just didn't sound right so I limped it home at 30MPH.. Could it be a power valve? Reeds? No backfire or Seizure.

How did it run when you limped it home? Hit the throttle , is that a wide open pull?
Check plugs, clutch parts, belts the basic stuff to eliminate possibilities, power valve is unlikely.

It was sluggish, wanting to stall at lower speeds. I could keep it a t a constant 30-40. It didn't idle when I stopped at the house. It would accelerate very sluggish when I gave it throttle just did not want to push it.

Check compression and plug colors. Pics would be nice
